Our Story
At Snorkeling with the Turtles, the ocean is our playground, our classroom, and our passion.
For over 25 years, we’ve been sharing the magic of the sea — inviting adventurers of all ages to dive beneath the surface and discover a world that will truly change your life.
We believe that the more people experience the ocean’s beauty, the more they’ll want to protect it. That’s why every snorkel with us is more than an adventure — it’s a chance to learn, connect, and make a difference.
Join us as we explore our hard and soft corals, swim alongside incredible marine life, and celebrate the joy of our Ocean.
Together, we can preserve the sea we love — one splash at a time.

FAQ’s
-
It’s only a quick 15 minute boat ride on our purpose-built fast boat! The ride is smooth, comfortable, and honestly so much fun — you’ll be at the Cook Island before you know it.
-
Absolutely — it’s very safe. We’ve been taking customers out to Cook Island for over 25 years, watching people of all ages and experience levels enjoy and fall in love with the area. There’s so much to see out there, and with Cook Island being nice and close to the mainland, it’s the perfect snorkel spot whether you’re a first-timer or a experienced Freediver
-
The island is known for its sheer abundance of Sea Turtles, and we have three different species — Loggerheads, Hawksbills, and Green Turtles. Some are resident locals and others are just cruising through, so it’s really just a matter of finding where they’re hanging out on the day and with our local knowledge, the chance is high!
-
Our resident Turtles are calm, curious, and usually enjoy hanging out with us. So before we get in the water, we’ll go through the Turtle Code of Conduct, which explains how to interact respectfully, give them space, and avoid getting too close. This helps keep both you and the Turtles safe and comfortable while still giving you an amazing experience.
-
No, we can’t walk on Cook Island. The Island is protected and part of a Marine Reserve, so access is restricted to help preserve its wildlife and environment. Cook Island holds Cultural Significance and is a sacred place, so we admire it from the water only.
